What is an auspicious name?
In Thai tradition, an auspicious name aligns with the bearer's birthday, zodiac, and gender. Ancient texts teach that a name shapes the life and opportunities that follow — names that conflict with the birth day can dampen good fortune.
The rules we apply
Taksapakon — the 8 letter groups
Thai consonants are sorted into 8 groups (Boriwan, Ayu, Det, Si, Muhla, Utsaha, Montri, Kalakini) based on the birth day. A good name uses letters from auspicious groups and strictly avoids letters from the Kalakini group for that day.
Thai numerology
Each Thai letter has a numeric value. The sum of a name carries its own energy signature; favourable totals differ by gender and birthday. Some numbers amplify luck, others quietly work against you.
Meaning and sound
Our 1,056-name dictionary is curated for Pali-Sanskrit meaning, easy pronunciation, and modern feel — not archaic names nobody would actually use.
How we filter
The generator only returns names that score 80% or higher — meaning they must simultaneously pass Taksapakon, numerology, and gender-fit. The chance of getting a 'bad' name is effectively zero.
✦ Try the name generator
Generate auspicious Thai names by birth weekday — pick your day, gender, and whether you want a formal first name or a nickname (ชื่อเล่น). The system applies Thai Taksapakon (no forbidden letters for your birthday) and Thai numerology filters, then ranks the survivors. For first names you can also enter a surname and the system will compute the combined numerology.
